A meeting of the participants of the Leather Goods Park was held on November 22, 2005 at the Science City. Infrastructure development at the Park started in real earnest and progressing as planned. There is a very urgent need to know your requirements to enable the builders to install suitable cables water storage tanks.

Please confirm whether you need a LT (Low Tension) or HT (High Tension) connection. If your estimated power requirement is BELOW 49 KVA then you need LT and above that is HT.

For purpose of estimation/calculation please treat 1 HP (Horse Power) as 1 KVA (Kilo Volt Amp.). Actually, it is a little lower.

Lighting for say 1000 sq. ft. needs 2.5 KVA
Total Fans - do - 1 KVA

Air-conditioners 1 ton = 1.5 KVA

Lift (6-8 persons) needs - 4 to 5 KVA

Sewing Machines are generally 0.25 HP/KVA
Skiving machines 0.50 HP/KVA
Splitting machine 1.50 HP/KVA
Clicking machine (20 tons) 1 H P/ KVA

Besides this, you will have water pump, compound lighting and other services.

We suggest that you please use above rough formula for computing your need. You will need to decide how many machines you will operate so you can use above multiplier.

WATER: As there is NO process water suggest use the multiplier of 35 Itr. Per day per person working in the premises. Thus if you multiply by number of people you can give the estimated daily need. This is for drinking/washing purposes.
