The ILPA RQC -
Gloves committee - participated in a joint stall at the A+A 05
fair in Dusseldorf from 24th to 27th Oct. 05. This is probably
the world's largest fair on Personal Protective Equipment and
with full support of CLE, India's flag flew proudly with a 36
sq. mtr. stand.
The number of visitors at our stand was very large. A lot of
technical people with useful comments & suggestions were
there. About 114 seriousvisitors from 40 countries registered
at the stall & had detailed discussions 7 business was
generated. Of course many regular buyers too visited the
stall & over 5 million Euro worth of new business would
have been concluded & many new clients are in the pipe
line. Old customers too would have been concluded substantial
business with our participating members.
Apart from the new business visitors, new contacts and
renewing old ties our presence gave a boost to the "Made
in India" image in an exhibition where there was a HUGE
CHINESE presence . Our smaller but more educative stall stood
out in a sea of Chinese small stalls offering "just cheap
products". The India quality, technical information &
innovation were appreciated by all.
In conclution it was a successful participation &
cooperation amongst exporting members was strengthened &
our joint efforts will yield to bigger growth of this
industry.
An interesting development was that a very detailed quality
meeting was held with the vice-president of the German Gloves
Asscn. Where developments of incoming new quality norms were
discussed & it was agreed that the same could be addressed
jointly.
The ILPA RQC is striving to write a new chapter of cooperation
in the industry & are making slow but sure progres.
